DEBUNKING THE MYTHS

recently, someone posted side by side comparison with a competitor and had a few opinions.

Teflon Cover (Coating or Sheet)

"The Teflon cover isn't a bag(the competitors), its sprayed onto the quartz tube; no more water between the Teflon and the quartz.

  • A Teflon cover typically refers to a solid layer or sheet of Teflon applied to a surface.
  • It provides a thicker, more durable, and long-lasting non-stick and chemical-resistant barrier.
  • The coating is usually applied professionally through a bonding process or as a removable sheet.
  • The reason water may break the barrier could be various things, including maintenance and not using proper material or a tear in the Teflon sheet.

The difference between a Teflon cover and a Teflon spray primarily comes down to application, method, durability, and thickness:

Precision Engineering

"The Salcor unit has occasionally been a tight fit due to wide tolerances in manufacturing. This sometimes made removal for servicing more challenging."

  • Each unit is made with consistent precision, and we are actively working on new molds to achieve even greater accuracy in production.
  • Weather conditions can affect the rubber components, causing them to expand, contract, or stick over time.  To ensure smooth placement and removal, we highly recommend lubricating the unit during installation and servicing.

At Longwave UV/Salcor we are committed to continuous improvement, making our products even more user-friendly and efficient.

Longwave Uv/Salcor remains the most extensively tested unit and has been validated alongside other products. Unlike alternatives attempting to replicate our designs, Salcor continues to set the industry standard in performance and reliability.
